Kuok’s academic qualifications include a postgraduate
degree in Masters of Business Administration (Major in Accounting and Finance) obtained from Monash University, Australia.
He is a certified public accountant and is a Member of CPA Australia, Institute of CPAs of Singapore and Malaysian Institute
of Accountants.
Kuok has over 15
years of both professional and industrial experience in the Asia Pacific Region. Kuok has extensive experience serving
multinational, public listed and middle market privately held companies in a wide range of industries including automotive,
semiconductor, hotel and leisure, manufacturing, property development, construction, information technology, consumer and
industrial products and communication industries.
Kuok started his career as an
audit professional with KPMG Singapore in 1994 and relocated to China to join KPMG and PWC Beijing in 2004 and 2007, respectively.
During his career, he also held position as ASEAN Region Internal Auditor with Philips Electronics, as Financial
Controller with Wella, and as Asia Regional Controller with Watts Water Technologies Inc. Some of Kuok’s clientele
to-date include: Effem Foods Inc, NCR Corporation, Fonterra Co-operative Group Limited, China National Materials Company (Sinoma), CA, CWT Distribution Limited, San
Miguel Brewery, Siemens, Watts Water Technologies Inc, City Development Limited, Capital Land Limited, Four Seasons Singapore
Hotel, Le Meridien Singapour, The Crown Plaza Hotel, Mitsubishi Electronics Manufacturing, and Philips Electronics.
Kuok specializes in compliance and corporate governance including
process re-engineering, policies and procedures design, internal controls; as well as corporate re-structuring, divestures
and financial due diligence. He is proficient in IFRS, PRC GAAP, Singapore GAAP and US GAAP reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley
compliance, and is well-versed in the financial regulations and corporate laws. At present he serves as the President of the Malaysian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China (“MAYCHAM”),
Shanghai Chapter. MAYCHAM’s objective is to bridge businesses in Malaysia and China, and to represent
